Bright Road

is the simple story of a rural teacher in an unnamed southern school trying to reach a problem child. Just when the teacher and child make progress, tragedy strikes: the boy’s sister dies of viral pneumonia. Embittered and rebellious, the boy gets into fights. But when a swarm of bees invades the classroom and panics the students, the boy takes charge, captures the queen bee and leads the swarm outside.

Eventually exposed as a fraud, the assistant abandons his job, hides in Central Park, then one day sees the actress’ picture on the cover of Look magazine.
