Synopsis
follows a water-phobic Lassie roaming the Scottish highlands as well as a kindly doctor trying to cure the collie of aquaphobia by exposing her to a roaring river. The doctor also uses the latest advancement—chloroform—to anesthetize a young man, operate on him at home and save his life. The doctor then sends this young man to medical school in Edinburgh so he may eventually take over the Scottish doctor’s practice. When the doctor lays dying on the far side of a river, Lassie and rescuers must decide whether to cross the swirling, icy water.
